Barbara joined WMNride at the very first ride in Brussels (March 2019). Over the past two year she developed from a complete beginner to a cherished ride leader for the Brussels based team. She always finds a reason to cycle: to explore new places, to escape the daily routines, to eat chocolate and to beat the couch and the elements.
As a ride leader, Barbara wants to share her passion for cycling with other women and create a warm community around the sport. In 2019 she reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro on a mountainbike. In 2020 she rode her first Granfondo in Mercantour National Parc and explored the roads for Kring’s Panache rally. Her technical skills and early season shape paid off to reach the final 10 at Koers Zoekt Vrouw in 2021. With her might mechanical hands and technical skills, she is happy to share experiences in the WMNride Skills Lab workshops.
Barbara is main ride leader in Brussels and supports the team wherever she can whilst training for her own ambitions in road cycling and fixed gear racing.
