A WMNride membership implies that you can access all social rides presented as “Free to WMNride members” in the online calendar on our website. RideSmart members receive additional advantages to book workshops, travel and challenges at a preferential rate as indicated in the ride calendar.
Being a WMNride member does not imply having an insurance to ride. It is at your own responsibility to verify your insurances to participate in sports activities. A personal liability insurance is required to cover costs for damage caused to third parties, but this does not cover for personal medical costs caused by a cycling accident. We strongly advice to take a basic cycling insurance with WMNride (RideSafe package) to be fully covered for unlucky situations on the road.
To participate in a ride or event, we ask you to sign up at each time through the online ride calendar. WMNride will prepare the social rides according to the number of people registered for the ride. In the case you show up without registration, WMNride may refuse your participation when this hinders safe participation for registered participants (we follow strict regulations according to group size and the number of ride leaders or support vehicles as legally required).
To participate in a ride, you declare to be in a healthy physical condition. If you have any health problems or doubts about your ability participate in a ride or event, WMNride advises to consult a doctor before joining a ride. If you have any health problems, please inform the ride leader.
Medical check-ups for Granfondo events or other individual amateur cycling challenges are strongly recommended by WMNride, but only mandatory when required by the official organization of the event. To be part of the raceteam, WMNride requires you to do a medical check-up before participating in your first race.
You can unsubscribe from the ride at any time, however no refunds are done and discovery ride vouchers cannot be recovored.
In case of unforeseen circumstances for which the ride has to be cancelled, all registered participants will receive a text notification latest one hour before the start of the ride.
Promotional codes obtained by WMNride members are strictly for personal use and cannot be used by other members or non-members. All data about orders and the use of promotional codes are stored by WMNride and its relevant partners. Should we notify the misuse of promotional codes by a non-member, the member to whom the code belongs will receive an invoice to pay the full fee for the product/service requested.
Pictures and movies made during social rides and WMNride events may be used for promotional purposes on social media. At any time, this will be done with the highest care for members’ identity and self-esteem and without explicitly identifying the person. WMNride will not publish information about a person in a social media story or promotional campaign without asking for explicit permission to do so. Despite efforts and attention paid to the legitimacy of the use of pictures and movies at all time by WMNride, participants can ask to be removed from a social media story or promotional campaign when we fail to respect your preferences.
WMNride cannot be held responsible for the publication of pictures and movies done by other WMNride members. We advise to inform other WMNride members / photographers about your preferences for the use of pictures and movies on social media if you care about this. All WMNride member are requested to respect the preferences and privacy rights of other members.
Your personal data are stored securely within the WMNride database for the duration of your membership (i.e. one year from purchase). Your data will not be shared with third parties, unless this is requested to activate a service you may want to use as part of your membership package.
